Project Description

Mr. Tool was the product of my Intelligent Machine Design Class, which I now teach. His main purpose was to autonomously roam the garage floor at night picking up metal objects and putting them in his basket. He used a Hall sensor to determine metal and an electromagnet to pick up objects.

Obstacle avoidance was accomplished via a rotating sonar array, IR, and bump skirts.

No robot would be complete without the Knight Rider/Cylon LED array!!
