Project Description:
A breakout board was needed to interface the 2-axis 10g Analog Devices' ADXL210JE accelerometer to the SAE data acquisition system. Two versions were made. First, the IC was broken out to 600 mil spaced headers. Second, it was mated to a standard RJ-45 connector.
The first version allowed for easy breadboard mating while the second version was mounted on the SAE Formula car.
This accelerometer includes both analog and digital outputs. The output bandwidth can be limited by the use of filter capacitors [not mounted in picture below].
The eight pin leaded chip carrier package [lcc] were hand soldered along with the surface mount passive devices.
