Project Description:

RE:Vision 3 of the Formula SAE data acquisition system adds more channels and higher memory capability.

Channel count has been increased to 138 channels (124 analog, 4 dedicated thermocouple amplifier stages, 2 dedicated digital accelerometer, 7 general purpose digital, 1 digital compare).

Memory has been increased from R2's 512Kb to a user definable value. Moreover, on board SRAM has been deleted in favor of a multimedia memory card (secure digital). The user will be able to log different drivers on various cards, keeping the logs separate. Cards are commercially availabe in 32Mb, 63Mb, 128Mb, 256Mb, 512Mb and 1Gb values. The cards communicate via the SPI bus, inherent to the Atmel ATMega128.

A graphical user interface (GUI) is being built by another team member in MatLab.
