My name is Teresa Leibforth and I am a graduate student in the Department of Counselor Education at the University of Florida, School Guidance track.  I received a Bachelors of Health Science degree in Occupational Therapy from UF in 1997 and currently work as a pediatric occupational therapist .  Most of the children I work with have been diagnosed with attentional disorders (ADD, ADHD), learning disabilities, and/or sensory integration dysfunction , so I have become very interested in these topics.

Some of the reasons I am interested in becoming a school guidance counselor include my strong interest in childhood development (including moral andsocial/emotional development), enjoyment of the school atmosphere, and a desire to work with children within their daily environment.
