Hello, my name is Kaitlyn McKinley and I work for Trimark Properties. I'm a University of Florida sophomore, and a student of all things commercial real estate. The Gainesville market is broad, encompassing many facets of the industry including office space leasing, laboratories, research facilities, retail areas, and industrial development. By writing about the commercial real estate market, my goal is to share industry knowledge with the public and improve my understanding of the field.

Feathr Moves to New Commercial Real Estate at Innovation Square

Thriving event marketing tech enterprise Feathr just confirmed a contract with Gainesville, FL commercial real estate contractor and designer, Trimark Properties, to relocate to a newly-customized office to account for its rapid expansion.

Commercial real estate in Gainesville, FL, has effectively been propelled out of the recession economy due to a recent drive towards urban redevelopment. Home to the University of Florida, one of the nation’s largest research institutions, Gainesville’s commercial real estate scene has been dormant for the past several years due to factors including projects geared toward university renovation, the economic downturn of the early 2000s, and lack of motivation to enhance the area. However, the market has experienced a boom unlike those of the past, primarily due to one of the city’s newest initiatives, Innovation Square.
