This past weekend there was no flow at Peacock Springs, and lots of flow at Ginnie Springs. Reece and I dove Friday night just after midnight and it was a gas. Veronica figured out her new Nomad harness and looks much better.

Reece, Veronica, and I took the Basic Cave/Intro to Cave course with Jill Heinerth. Let's just say that she lived up to her reputation. I was worried about Veronica's impulsive decision to join the course, and she had a little bit of a rough time in the "catacombs" on the first day, but her skills improved tremendously and I'm extraordinarily proud of her for sticking it out and becoming a better diver. That doesn't apply to her only, Reece and I learned quite a bit as well. So, thanks Jill!

The Mill Pond is probably the greatest place on the planet. Drove up to the middle of nowhere after working 21.5 hours on Friday and somehow ended up in heaven. Jackson Blue has a beautiful cavern in it, and just down the way you can find Shangri-la. This is a slightly less spacious, but equally awesome cavern. A few more miles down, you come across Gator Hole, which is silty, but has an air pocket across the entire surface. The cavern sports an awesome thermocline that gives the water a surrealistic appearance.

Made a few updates to the web page. New header image, started putting together the map of florida with dive sites. I have a lot of them put into Google Earth right now, and am going to base the image off of that. I will put the locations up for download as well. I am excited to start filling out information about all of the dive sites; pictures, videos, text.

The newly operated-upon MSR bag for the razor harness that Reece and I are putting together. This sucker's got a power inflator, AND an overpressure relief valve on it now. I am extremely excited to take it for a wet run.

Went camping at Ginnie Springs on the weekend of July 11th. We were surrounded by a bunch of drunk rednecks, but everything was great once we got underwater. Note that you cannot enter the cavern systems wearing two tanks with only a cavern certification, must be cave ceritified. Found that out the hard way...
