My name is Youssef Kaddoura, I graduated from the computer science department in the Lebanese American University (LAU) with DISTINCTION. In LAU I was the instructor for a couple of introductory courses. I came first to the States and joined University of Florida GATORS—Football National Champions in 1996 and Basketball National Champions for 2006. I joined the team who started the Pervasive Computing Laboratory. I was the Vice President 2004-2005 of Lebanese American Society which is a student organization. In year 2005-2006 I was the Vice President of Volunteers for International Student Affairs (VISA) which is the largest student organization in the state of Florida, counting over 3000 students, and is the umbrella organization of 14 diverse student societies (African, Arabic, Brazilian, French, Greek, Indian, Pakistani, Persian, Polish, Russian, Turkish…). Through this position I was able to participate in a variety of international and intercultural activities that helped me develop strong foundation of knowledge and appreciation for world cultures. I also acquired skills for living in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world.
