Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys were established in 1960. During the early years of the franchise the team wore jerseys with giant stars on the shoulders. During this time they wore white helmets with blue stars.

These were eventually replaced with the jerseys that they currently wear today. The cowboy nickname was chosen because of the symbolic figure the Cowboy was in the west, particularly in the Texas area.

The current Cowboys uniform is dark blue with white and silver accents. The helmet is silver with a blue star. It is unusual to see the Cowboys wear their dark blue uniforms.
