Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were established in 1976 along with the Seattle Seahawks. In the height of the colorful 70's the Buccaneers topped off all uniforms. They introduced their bright orange jerseys and a logo that was nicknamed Bucco Bruce.

The Buccaneers jerseys really made the team stand out on the field. The jerseys featured two different shades of orange, and white trim. The darker orange was used as a trim for the numbers and stripes on the sleeves.

In 1998, the Buccaneers kicked Bucco Bruce to the curb and completely redesigned the uniform, logo, and color scheme. The Buccaneers prominent colors are now red, pewter, black and a hint of orange.

Bucco was replaced with a sword/battle flag logo on the helmet. A pirate ship logo was added to the sleeves of the jersey. The Buccaneers have also added an alternate black uniform to their home game rotation.

The Buccaneers have retired #63 Lee Roy Selmon's jersey.
