This was one of the first, if not THE first, of my obsessions. I
loved this show with all my heart and soul. I still remember crying
when I learned that preschool would prevent me from seeing it every day.
Tragedy strikes toddler Julia; little girl vows "I'll never go to school
again." Story at eleven.
She-Ra was a strong, independent female role model who gave millions of
young girls like myself the shocking idea that they could kick just as much
butt as boys could. Today's female action stars - like Xena, the Powerpuff
Girls, and even cyber-icon Lara Croft - owe a great deal to the Princess
of Power.
