Jacquelyn R. Ginzburg
I am currently pursuing a Master in Accounting (M.Acc) at the University of Florida with a planned graduation date of December 2007. In June 2006, I will be interning at the Weston, FL office of Grant Thornton L.L.P.
Background
I was born and raised in North Miami Beach, FL. There I studied at a parochial school, Hillel Community Day School, which taught both general and judaic studies. Each grade consisted of, at most, 70 students, therefore the University of Florida was an enormous change from my high school days. I am the first Gator in my family; my parents and older sister received their degrees from Emory University. My family is hoping my two younger brothers will follow in my footsteps.
Interests
I love listening to foreign music, especially in spanish, arabic, and hebrew. When I lived in South Florida I spent 4 days a week practicing with my Israeli dancing troupe. Through dancing I was able to travel to Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, Uruguay, Chile, Brazil, Panama, and throughout Florida. When I moved to Gainesville, FL I started my own Israeli dancing troupe consisting of University of Florida students and faculty, as well as some local Alachua county residents.
