Buddii 2.0 is the more intelligent version of the Buddii 1.0 project. Buddii 2.0 is an autonomous parental assistant and security device. Buddii will have the capability to provide live video and audio feed to a remote location, will have obstacle avoidance capabilities as well as the ability to stay in the vicinity of a child or intruder. Buddii will display temperature and lighting data about the room it's in and will also check carbon monoxide levels and check for fires. When Buddii is switched to security mode, it has the ability to detect intrusion. If an intruder is detected, Buddii has the ability to target and and potentially immobilize the intruder. Future work on Buddii 2.0 includes using an embedded system which will allow the user to remotely log into Buddii from anywhere in the world to check the current conditions (autonomously or manually) of their home or workplace. Buddii is a vigilant system, never resting, and can help keep your winter/summer home secured while you're away. Buddii has a broad application domain. Buddii can be used as a babysitter, a general cross-room communication device, or as a security system.
