This site provides the viewer with a very simple and direct method for quickly acquiring basic information dealing with Entertainment Law and Business. The site is managed by the law firm Masur & Associates, LLC out of New York, New York. The website itself has two main parts: one being a resource page in which many useful and otherwise hard to find websites are listed which pertain to the field (Business resources in entertainment,entertainment legal websites, government websites, etc.); and the second a list of projects that the website and firm have sponsored to further educate in the professional entertainment field.
Site Strengths
- Comprehensive resource link page highlighting sites under headings: Good Resources for Start-ups, Useful Venture Capital, Helpful Law and New Media Organizations, Performing Rights Societies, Government Organizations, and Useful Publications
- Easy to navigate site that is well explained to lay person not familiar with Entertainment Media field and links to useful sites in the entertainment media field
Site Weaknesses
- Strong emphasis on Business and Financial aspects of Entertainment Media
- Project section is somewhat outdated, and seems to be mainly focused on the Northeast section of the Country
- Other than links, has little content or explanation/background of the entertainment media field
