Guide to Entertainment Law Links

Rating scale on 1 to 10 = 7

Although the site is operated by an individual who just recently in 1999 graduated from law school, and appears to be of amateur quality in its design; the site offers a thorough and easy to use set of links that send the user to valuable resources of information and assistance in the entertainment law field. The website links to associations and organizations within entertainment law, journals and law reviews dealing with entertainment law, government sites such as copyright and patent offices, offers a listing and links to entertainment focused law schools; and even post job listings in the field.

Site Strengths

  • Provides a wide variety and comprehensive set of links to different resources pertaining to entertainment law
  • Provides links to law schools that specialize in entertainment law
  • Provides links to leading entertainment and sports law reviews and journals
  • Offers job postings and information on the entertainment law industry itself

Site Weaknesses

  • The website is constructed on an AOLl server and seems to have some bugs in it
  • The site also comes across amateur in design style and can appear to lack authority and credibility
  • The site also appears to have not been updated in a year or so; therefore the links to other sites are fine; but the current information might be unreliable
