All About Dunedin
Dunedin, Florida is home to Dunedin Highland Middle School. Dunedin Highland Middle School plays an important role in the city of Dunedin, dating back to 1957 when it opened as Dunedin Junior High School with 498 students in grades 7-9. At the original dedication in December 1957, a reporter suggested featuring bagpipes in support of the Scottish heritage of our city, and a new idea was born. Since then, bagpipes have been an integral part of the middle school, Dunedin High School, and the city of Dunedin. In January 2004, students and staff members moved into a brand new building located at 70 Patricia Avenue.
