Laptops with Broken LCDs

Needed: Laptops with broken screens.

Will my laptop be used for profit?

No. You'll see your laptop in pictures, how it will be used, and with regular updates.

Why laptops with broken screens?

Because I found that after a screen is broken, their replacement value is usually not worth keeping the laptop. Hopefully I can find some donors.

Why not get a new laptop?

Because I just need the working parts, I don't need the screens. And they are very expensive for us poor grad students.

Why not get desktops?

I have major space restrictions and 4 laptops vs 4 towers make a huge difference.

Can you pay for shipping?

Yes.

Can I have it back when you're done or if you no longer need my laptop?

Absolutely!

What will you use if for?

Simulating atoms. Though to be more specific I need a more text space. :)

Why use macs?

Because their UNIX/BSD backing makes it an ideal simulation environment.

Does UF lack resources?

No at all! This a simple experiment in using different hardware.

Does your advisor know?

No but once I have results or is she sees this website she will.

Is this tax deductible?

I have no clue, check your local laws!

Can I send money instead?

Uh...sure. I mean...I'm not asking for any but I never turn down money lol
