Academic Interests:

I have always been interested in a career in the health field.  As a child I even drew pictures of monsters dressed as doctors.  In high school I planned to go to medical school but in college I realized that Physician Assistant School better fits my life.  Since I am constantly fascinated by the beauty of children, I am interested in the field of pediatrics.  Surgery and plastic surgery are also two of my interests.

Three Year Career Plan:

In May of 2006 I will be receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science Education with a specialization in Health Studies.  Until then I will be finishing up my health science classes.  I also plan to find an internship at Shands hospital during the spring semester before graduation.  Since Physician Assistant School requires clinical hours, I work as a Certified Nursing Assistant during the summer and in my spare time.  In the summer of 2006 I plan to begin Physician Assistant School at the University of Florida if I am accepted.  After PA school I will receive a masters degree.  Since my family lives in the gulf side of Florida, I plan to work as a PA in Sarasota for at least 2 years.  I am very interested in living in either Chicago or New York sometime in the next 10 years.  No matter where I chose to live and work I hope to help many people live a longer and healthier life.
