First assignment

Here are the steps to get the journal assignment:

1. Go to UF library webpage

2. Go to Smathers Library link (on left side of page) and click

3. IF YOU ARE NOT ON CAMPUS, then go to the off campus access link, click, and do sign in as instructed. Then go to step 5

4. IF YOU ARE on campus, go to step 5

5. Click the link for Journals (in the left column)

6. Type in the title of the journal: Phi Delta Kappan

7. Pick one of the links to get into the journal

8. You are looking for Wineburg's article, it was published in 1999, in March, in volume 80, and it starts on page 488

Read the article carefully and do the assignment on the syllabus for Thursday's class. We will discuss the article in class, so if you want to have it handy, print it out. Otherwise take notes so that you can contribute to the discussion.
