Front Row: Zach (Classic
Napoleon pose), Kelli (beautiful, as always), Ben (his head as big as
every), and Lil' A
Back Row: Doug (Looking good in his suit), Steve (Looking who
knows where) and Jeremy (doesn't he look like a reptile?)
The Big Three
Kelli (senior) - Kelli is our
captain and our "fluff" person. Being our fluff person she is
responsible for composers, artists, musicals, works of art, sculpture,
architects, and everything else no one wants to learn. She's
averaging close to 20 points per round (PPR) on NAQT style questions so
far this year.
Zach (senior) - Zach is our
history person and our go-to-guy when no one else knows. He's
leading our team in scoring so far this year, averaging nearly 70 PPR
on NAQT questions this year. He's picked up awards for
scoring at Monteverde-3rd, UF High School Fall-4th, UF High School
Spring-3rd and UF
College-2nd.
Jeremy (senior) - Jeremy is our science guy. He is responsible
for knowing all of Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy, Astronomy, and
Math. Jeremy's averaging 40+ PPR on NAQT style
questions this year.
Team Stats (for NAQT style only)
Points Per Round: 345
Differential: +205
Bonus Conversion: 17.1
Tossups Per Round: 13
Other Players
Steve (junior) - Steve is Jeremy's apprentice and he's been voted the
"Bible" person on the team whether he wants it or not. Steve always
knows the answers, he just likes to see if everyone else knows them as
well, so he gives everyone else a chance to ring in first. He's
such a good sport.
Derek (senior) - Derek knows Norse Mythology like nobody I know.
If only he'd show up every now and then, staying out of trouble with
the law is also a plus.
Lil' A (junior) - Lil' A or, as I've once heard him been called. Andrew
is our designated reader. He knows a little bit of everything,
but like Steve, he isn't a huge fan of electricty so he stays away from
the buzzer.
Ben (junior) - Ben has been designated our Lit person because no one
else wants to learn Lit. Because of car issues he hasn't been
able to make it to practice that much lately but is a very solid player
and hopefully will lead the team along with Steven and Lil' A next
year.
Kody (junior) - "The new kid" We haven't learned that much about him
yet other than he's Steve's friend and he seems like he knows his
Latin.
Brandon (sophomore) - He's what we call a legacy, the younger brother
of Mike (alumnus) and Derek. I think he's our JV captain this year.
(Not like that really matters because we haven't played in any JV
events)
Tulci (freshman) - I haven't had the chance to see her play that much
this year, but I hear she's improving steadily and will soon be a
strong player. She has also been delegated as a Lit person
whether she wants it or not.
The Coach
Mr. Doug - That's me. They've taken to calling me Mr. Doug
because that's what my 2nd graders call me at extended day. I
drive, I coach, I pay for food, and I don't get paid for it. I
very much enjoy my volunteering work with the team, especially when
they let me play on the buzzers.

stuff.
