I am interested in investigating the interaction between the human body and technology in terms of a symbiotic relationship. I will also investigate and postulate about the potential for technology and the body in the future. Humans are becoming increasingly reliant on technology as it permeates our body a little further each day.
I will try to do this by researching and replicating certain corporal technologies that are rapidly incorporating them selves into our world. The internet, prosthetics, cerebral implants, pharmaceutical drugs and genetic manipulation are all rapidly becoming ever larger parts of our lives and affecting our bodies ever more directly. I do not intend my works to be politically loaded, I will remain completely neutral in my position, I am interested in generating dialogue about these technologies and their ramifications on the human race; whether they are good or bad is up to the viewer to decide.
In addition to technology and the body, I am also extremely interested in energy. Energy permeates every corner of the universe and is responsible for every action with in it. I want to investigate energy and how it applies to our world, how it lets our universe expand, driving our power plants and allowing us to eat, breath and think.
