Weekly Report 2 (5/19/05)
This week I choose the processor board I am going to use and ordered it. It decided to go with the ATMEL ATMEGA128. The programming cables and an LCD were also ordered. I have also decided what kind of robot I wish to build. I plan on building a robot that will fetch snacks and drinks for me from the kitchen. It will follow a line from my couch into the kitchen. Then, depending on what I ask it for, it will either go to the refrigerator or the pantry. Once it reaches its destination it will choose my request by distinguishing the color of the packaging. It will then pick up the item using a gripping mechanism of some sort and return it to me at the couch.
