Backups, backups, backups. Unfortunately, Fridays are a bust for those. We have new hardware, but the software is so old that I can't point it to the new hardware. So that requires me to install new software on a production box. We might end up with no backups at all for a spell.

Back from another round of cold/flu/bug (10/17-10/21). Except for the backups hanging (again), I see the place didn't fall apart without me. I'm not sure how I feel about that. It would give me more of a sense of validity if things broke without me.

On second thought, scratch that. I'd rather be on a beach in Aruba for a month without anything happening than have five days of constant problems.
