Associate Director, Digital Epigraphy and Archaeology Project

Research Interests

  • Imperial Greek and Latin Literature

  • Literary and Cultural Theories
  • Digital Humanities

Research Interests

  • My research combines classical studies with digital humanities. More specifically, I currently work on the study of oratory and the use of Atticism in the fifth and fourth centuries BCE and its renaissance in the Imperial era. My study examines grammarians, literary theorists, and orators, while I also employ computational analysis and linguistics in order to determine recurrent syntactical and linguistic patterns in the works of the orators. Furthermore, as the Associate Director of the Digital Epigraphy and Archaeology project I work on computer-assisted methodologies for the study of historical artifacts and the development of techniques for the facilitation of traditional research.
