Evaluation of Classroom Tests

  1. For this activity you will need to locate one of your teacher-made classroom tests that you have administered in the past or plan to administer in the future. After locating a teacher-made test, carefully review the checklist found on page 155 of your study guide, then review your test "through the eyes of an ESOL student" by completing the checklist. (Note: You may also use a publisher produced test if a teacher-made test is unavailable. A teacher-made test is preferable, however)
  2. Create a list indicating the strengths and weaknesses of your test in terms of the items on the checklist. Provide specific examples of test items from your classroom test to support your response. For example, if you indicate that test items are written clearly, provide an example of a test item that substantiates your point.

Submit your response to the facilitator.
