Module 5: Introduction to Literacy
Development
In this section, you will learn to help ESOL students develop and
improve their reading skills and to consider certain particularly
difficult situations that you may encounter. These situations
include working with students who may not read and write in English
or in their native languages. You will also begin to discuss
what to expect and what actions to take with new ESOL students who
are at a beginning level and may have limited formal schooling
experience.
