My name is Elizabeth Dull. I was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida. When I was in the eleventh grade my theory of knowledge teacher told me that someday I would become a teacher myself. Though at the time I simply laughed at the idea, his words have proven true. I am currently in the College of Education at the University of Florida studying elementary education. As the daughter of two teachers I suppose I was destined to find my career in education. I plan on staying in the state of Florida after receiving my Master's Degree inUnified Early Childhood Education in 2005.
Ever since I was fourteen years old I have worked at Camp Seahawk, a summer day camp for elementaryaged children at the Clearwater YMCA. From five to fifteen I love to spend mytime with kids. I have seen good days and bad, but my opinion remains the same: I can't imagine not working with them every day.
I have two sisters, Jenn (21) and Katie (18). The three of us have always been friends. We have done everything from grade school, to trips, to volleyball, to college together. I can't imagine where I would be without them.
I have been involved in volleyball since I was eleven years old. I played for Oak Grove Middle and Palm Harbor University High Schools. I also played for three years for the Clearwater YMCA Volleyball Club and three years for Gulf Coast Juniors Volleyball Club. I have also played here at UF on an intermural team. This is definitely one of my favorite activities and I would encourage anyone to try.
Back to Index PageDuring the summer of 2000, I had to opportunity to take a trip to Salamanca, Spain. A group composed of classmates and students from another high school attended classes while living with Spanish families and learning their customs. This was an experience that truly changed me. Not only did I gain a greater appreciation of Spain and its traditions, but also a renewed sense of personal freedom.
