Articles and Papers Teaching	Greetings. I am assistant professor of political science and Asian studies at the University of Florida. I received my Ph.D. in 2002 from the department of political science at the University of Washington. My current research is focused on states and communal conflict, on the politics of corruption and economic growth, and on the comparative analysis of authoritarian regimes. My first book, Hard Times In the Lands of Plenty, was recently published by Cornell University Press.
