Cartoons have had their place in the media throughout history. With the invention of the printing press
cartoons have always been found to be in the daily papers. Political cartoons seem to be a favorite among
many artists and columnists. It is a fun but thought provoking way of getting their views across.
Right wing cartoons
Right wing cartoons are ones that make fun of the democrats and their views
They often show such things as John Kerry being a "flip-flopper" or making
fun of Kerry's purple hearts. This year these cartoons even took shots at
the oldd democratic President Bill Clinton for overshadowing Kerry at
the Democratic Convention.
Left wing cartoons
Left wing cartoons poke fun at the Republican party. They highlight things
like President Bush not being very bright and Dick Cheney being the real
brains in the government.This election we saw a lot of cartoons featuring
Bush's involvement in the War on Iraq.
