A little bit about me, Carmen Guerrero.
Barranquilla, a city located in the northern part of Colombia, is the beautiful place where I was born. There I studied to be an ESL and literature teacher. After that, I worked as a preschool, primary, middle and high school teacher in different parts of the country, all of them in the north coast of the Colombia. I married Alexander Steffanell, my teaching training coordinator, in July 1995. Seven years after my graduation I came to Miami University in Ohio to work on my Master's degree. That was an enriching experience and also the place where our son, NavĂn, was born. While I was in Gainesville. Florida, working on my Doctoral Studies in Colombian Literature, a wonderful thing happened to me on march 31st 2005: Samir came to our lives to make our family bigger.
At University of Florida I taught several elementary and intermediate Spanish classes. I was the Spanish Intermediate Level Assistant for 2 years. Currently, I am working on Bildungsroman in Colombian Literature for my dissertation. I am a Gradute student at the Department of Romance Languages, University of Florida, but I am currently working as a full time instructor at Lee University in Cleveland, TN. My office: Vest Building 202B. Please check my schedule on current courses I'm teaching if you want to see me, or we can set an appointment. This is my e-mail cguerrero@leeuniversity.edu
