Lesson plan(s) linking Sunshine State Standards and subject matter content.
Description of Assignment: I created a lesson plan
in my subject area (i.e. Latin) that integrates technology into the learning
process. I produced all the technology components that are necessary
to teach the lesson (webpages, word-processing documents, scanned/editing
images, etc.) and corrolated my lesson objectives to meet specific Sunshine
State Standards. Additionally, the lesson includes the following
components:
-
The lesson title
-
Grade level of the audience
-
A brief description of what will happen in the lesson
-
A brief description explaining how the lesson will taken
place
-
The lesson objectives written in ABC (D is optional) format.
-
A list of the Florida Sunshine State Standards that the
lesson covers
Rationale: This illustration demonstrates the teacher's
understanding of the subject matter and her knowledge of how the subject
is linked to real world educational standards. Particularly, this
technology-rich lesson relates the teacher's lesson objectives with corresponding
Sunshine State Standards for the state of Florida. The lesson plan
outlines the teacher's learning objectives for her students and complements
these objectives with specific Sunshine State Standards (for foreign language)
that will be realized in the course of the assignment. This format
shows that the teacher is both informed and responsible about meeting these
standards in her classroom lessons.
