Water For People is an international non-profit organization that supports the development of sustainable water/sanitation infrastructure and health/hygiene education in developing countries. Much more than being just a good-thing-to-do, development of health and water/sanitation infrastructure is a proven means of helping communities break out of poverty/sickness cycles and start the process of socio-economic development.

Local Water For People chapters are involved in school outreaches, fundraisers and general community involvement/education on global development-related issues.

In an effort to connect the local efforts with the ongoing work in developing countries, local volunteers conduct fundraisers to raise support for the work while communicating the message and impact of Water For People's work. It is also an opportunity to build partnerships with professionals (and professional networks) that share an interest in the work and the vision of bringing socio-economic development to address issues of poverty, equity and justice in the developing world.

It is a powerful cause with measurable impact and one that is of interest to people from all backgrounds.
