AMBER LEA GILLESPIE

This is my dog Coco.                                                            This is Tash, she loves to pose.

I was born in Plant City, Florida on May 3, 1983.  My parents' names are Larry and Anita.  My dad works at Gillespie's Auto Parts and Service, a family owned business.  My mom is the preschool director at our church, Westminster Presbyterian Church of Brandon.  My sister, April, is 15 months older than I am and goes to the University of Tampa.  She is studying to become an accountant and future lawyer.  I have one dog named, Coco, and two cats, Tash and Freckles.

This is my family and my mom's parents.

I love the outdoors, playing softball, fishing, and spending time at the beach.  My favorite animals are fish.  I love anything that has fish on it and enjoy collecting fish figurines, candles, keychains, pictures, etc.  I like to set up fish tanks and try to make each one unique; currently my roommate and I have five tanks.  I really value the meaning of the word friendship.  All of my friends are true friends not just aquaintances.  I spend most of my spare time with my friends and would do anything for them.

This is my friend and roommate Anna.                                                                          This is Erin my best friend.
We have been friends since the first grade.                                                          We have a lot in common and are always together.

Clockwise from top:  All of my friends.  Jody, Erin, and I.  All of my friends that came to my graduation (May 25, 2001) to cheer me on.  Anna, Erin, and I at Lake Walberg.

A friend I will always miss.

For the past four summers I have worked for Hillsborough County Parks and Recreation as a lifeguard.  I was stationed at Medard Park in Durant near my home.  During the school year, I work as a nanny in Gainesville.  I watch two children, Tina and Eli.  They are both really good children and we have fun together.

I am attending the University of Florida.  GO GATORS!!  I am in my second year and plan to become a special education teacher.  I hope to obtain my masters in unified elementary school by my fifth year.  Following graduation, I hope to teach at a school that focuses on children with special needs.
