France

In 2007, I explored the French countryside over a two week trip focused on French culture and language. The trip was associated with the Outdoor Academy, a semester school located in Pisgah Forest, North Carolina. The trip was a cultural journey and we, the particpants, were able to explore France in a unique way– in the country away from the hustle and bustle of a large city like Paris.

Western North Carolina

Western North Carolina, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Dupont State Forest and Pisgah National Forest are all full of wildlife, streams, beautiful scenery, and breathtaking waterfalls. These areas attract tourists, retirees and scores of summer campers. The region serves as a perfect backdrop to the quintessential American summer full of barbeques, contra dancing, and canoeing.

My travels throughout Western North Carolina have been extensive. For the past 14 years I have spent my summers at Eagle's Nest Camp in Pisgah Forest, North Carolina, located in the heart of Western North Carolina.
