Information |
Once your group has selected a topic to investigate, each person in your triad needs to choose a job below. Following the guidelines of effective cooperative learning design, this will allow for positive interdependence and individual accountability.
In your mission to design a concept analysis for an Inductive lesson, the following roles are needed:
1. Reconnaissance
(A.K.A: Recon)
This person
will be responsible for moving ahead in the project to search out possible
sources of background information on your topic. Much like the recon
teams in the military, your mission is to investigate the situation thoroughly
and report back to your unit (your triad!). You will email your triad
the links to at least 3 quality sites that give background knowledge about
your topic.
2. Intelligence
This person
will review all the sites posted by the Recon member and come up with the
3 characteristics that define your concept. You will also come up
with the superordinate (big picture) concept, the coordinate (same level)
concept, and the subordinate (below) concept. You will also be responsible
for leading your group in determining the 3 examples you will
choose to teach the concept.
3. Commander
This person
is the group leader for all portions of the project. It is your responsibility
to be the contact person for all communication with the instructor.
You will ultimately compile and submit the completed concept analysis.
You will keep all group members on track and encourage them to complete
their missions.
