Erik Chu's Portfolio

Erik Chu

I have a fiery passion for technology that has burned within me since I received my first PC at 10 years old. I can still remember the bulky 15" CRT monitor and the off-white ATX desktop tower. This computer was one of the fastest at the time--a 100mhz Pentium I processor with a turbo button that overclocked the CPU to 133mhz. It also had 32MB of SDRAM and a 1.5GB Hard Drive...isn't it incredible how fast technology changes? Because of this, I have joined the CompTIA Continuing Education(CE) program and am always reading up on new technology. I joined the IT field in order to become well-off and successfull, but my ultimate goal is to make the world a better place.

My Certifications

Below is a list of my certifications. I am currently in the process of completing my MCSA and CCNA certifications.

CompTIA [ A+ Certification ]

CompTIA A+ certification validates foundation-level knowledge and skills necessary for a career in PC support. It is the starting point for a career. The international, vendor-neutral certification proves competence in areas such as installation, preventative maintenance, networking, security and troubleshooting.

Available for public review: A+ Certified

CompTIA [ Network+ Certification ]

CompTIA Network+ certification proves knowledge of networking features and functions and is the leading vendor-neutral certification for networking professionals.

Available for public review: Network+ Certified

Microsoft [ MCSA - Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator ]

The Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certification validates a person's ability to manage and troubleshoot network environments based on the Windows Server 2003 operating system. It reflects a unique set of skills required to succeed in a variety of job roles, such as systems administrator, network administrator, information systems administrator, network operations analyst, network technician, and technical support specialist.
