The
second Siemens Habitat group gets ready for action |
But
we are surprised and more than a little not-relieved to
learn that instead of helping with habitats, we will be
relegated to carrying stoves, tiles, showers, tubs, and
walls (i.e. slave labor) in the new Habitat distribution
center-- although in all fairness, we are promised
free water |
|
|
But
my indomitable spirit is not to be denied -- see the excitement?
It's that whisper of a thrill that can only come from heavy
lifting for four hours... |
The
second Siemens Habitat group poses for a picture |
|
|
In
order to gain time from our owners (Jimmy Carter and his
minions), we take many pictures |
This
is how many were left after lunch-- the command 7-- the
rest were able to escape |
|
|
8
months, a trip to Australia, and several Siemens Habitat
groups later, I rejoin the adventure -- we get ready to
rock Roseboro St |
Our crew
leaders converse on best how to utilize us by the Habitat
bus. As Jim, who stays in the bus the whole time we're working
keeping tools in order, says, "it ain't much," but
he's wrong. That bus has character. You should hop on for
a ride some time. |

While
my dad and a few other dissidents are exiled to Lot 1, the
rest of us are rewarded for loyalty with a fun painting assignment
on Lot 13-- and I find yet another opportunity to embarrass
myself. For more info, see the next frame |
It
has to be zoomed in on to be believed! |
